Brave Kenyan boys save pregnant mother from drowning

Two boys from Murang’a county in Kenya have touched the hearts of many after the story of how they saved their pregnant mother from a landslide hit the internet.

The two boys rescued their pregnant mother from a landslide that occurred in their Gitugi village in Murang’a, reported Facebook user, Thiong’O Irungu ManMan.

He wrote; “ACT OF BRAVERY: When a landslide occurred in Gitugi village Muranga, the family of these boys was affected. As they moved to safety, they had to cross a swollen river. Their mother who is pregnant accidentally tripped and water swept her away.

“Helplessly, she waved her two boys as a sign that it was over. The two boys, barely 10, could not stand their mother drowning.

“My friend, Steve Njoro told me the boys followed her, running along the banks.

“Miraculously, they pulled her out and saved her from drowning. These are real heroes…”

From the pictures posted on Irungu’s Facebook page, the boys and their mother were rewarded with cash gifts.
