UNILAG suspends another lecturer fingered in sex-for- grades video

Another lecturer of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, Dr Samuel Oladipo, has been suspended by the management of the university.

He was suspended on Tuesday following his featuring in the second stream of the video recording allegedly demanding sex in exchange for admission from an undercover British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reporter, titled “Sex-for-Admission” in his office.

He is the second lecturer of the university to be suspended in two days over the allegation. The first is Dr Boniface Igbeneghu of the Department of European Languages and Integrated Studies and also a part-time pastor in one of the parishes of Foursquare Gospel Church in Lagos.

The vice-chancellor of the university, Prof. Ouwatoyin Ogundipe, confirmed the indefinite suspension of Dr Oladipo by the management to allow the school to carry out thorough and unbiased investigations.

He reaffirmed that the school had a zero-tolerance for unethical practices including sexual harassment.
