Popular afrobeats musician Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, has debunked claims that cancelled his show in the United Kingdom after a fight with his new wife, Natasha.
Rather, the ‘African Queen’, singer explained that he failed to make it into the stage owing to a medical emergency.
The clarification follows reports on social media alleging that he was arrested in the UK after an altercation with his wife, Natasha.
Reacting to reports about the missed show in an Instagram video on Friday, 2Baba insisted that his absence was due to a medical emergency.
He assured fans and organisers that the tour would be rescheduled, promising an even better experience.
“First of all, I want to say to everybody who came out, we appreciate you. We had a medical emergency. It was tough, so you understand.
“To the organisers, to everybody that came out, we will regroup, we will make something very, very beautiful happen,” he said.
2Baba also cautioned against spreading unfounded rumours, adding, “If una no sabi something, make una no talk.”
2Baba and Natasha a member of the Edo State House of Assembly weded in July after the singer, a few months earlier, announced that he and Annie, his wife of almost 12 years, had gone their separate ways.
