Nigerians have been urged to emulate the sacrificial love that Jesus Christ showed to all generations by preaching and showing love to people around them and not hatred.
Senior Pastor “Help from Above Healing and Deliverance Ministry Worldwide, Pastor Godwin Ube gave the advice while delivering his Sunday sermon via Facebook.
Ube sermon entitled: “Danger of hatred” had a reading from from 1st John 4-8 said, from where he remind his online congregation that where there is genuine love hatred disappears.
The pastor who explained that there is no tribe, no religion; adding that, regardless of faith, Jesus loves us. He advised that people should relate with themselves with pure love, not hating one another.
He reminded Nigerians to serve God faithfully to earn forgiveness and salvation in the hereafter, noting that spiritually, Jesus stood between hell and heaven, and serves as an intercessor for mankind.
“All that is required is to believe in Him by acceptance of the commitment he made on the cross,” he said.
The Senior pastor stated that forgiveness can destroy sickness while unforgiveness can attract affliction.
He said, the Scriptures make it clear that one of the attributes of God is His loving ability to forgive. It is because of His willingness to forgive the sins of humanity that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins, adding that Unfortunately, the devil has caged many Christians through the lifestyle of unforgiveness.
Ube explained that one of the weapons of the devil today is unforgiveness; he makes people harbour bitterness in their minds so he can truncate their destinies adding that unforgiveness is dangerous; bitterness is deadly.
He added that unforgiveness attracts the ministry of tormentors If you do not forgive, you have given yourself to the tormentors to torment you with sickness – arthritis, ulcers and other different afflictions. Pain-inflicting demonic spirits are attracted to the one who does not forgive.
” That will never be your portion in Jesus’ Name. Beloved, forgiveness can destroy sickness while unforgiveness can attract afflictions.
Unforgiveness invites trouble into life, Unforgiveness is the root of bitterness which invites troubles into a person’s life. Unforgiveness leads people to eternal damnation. Unforgiveness is a highway to hellfire, One who hates his brother is a murderer and no murderer has eternal life. My counsel is, make up your mind never to live in unforgiveness. Receive the grace to forgive people their offenses”, he said.
