Celebrity businessman Obi Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana is breathing the air of freedom after spending three days with the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The dreaded anti-graft agency said it invited Obi for interrogation over allegations of fraud, tax evasion and money laundering. The once quiet businessman became a topic of discussion following the extravagant display of wealth during his mother’s burial in Oba, Anambra State months back.

Obi is his only interview over the controversy that followed lavish show of wealth during his mother’s funeral, told BBC Pidgin that he is a legitimate businessman who believes in hard work and lifting others.

The Abuja based businessman is yet to speak on his interrogation by the EFCC. There was only a post on his popular Instagram page where he said he was unshaken. His wife and other celebrity friends have used their social media handles to speak out in his support.
