Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Ticket

Former Lagos State governor Sen. Bola Tinubu has emerged the winner of the presidential primary of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Tinubu polled 1,271 to beat his closest rivals, former minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi with 316 votes and the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who came third with 235 votes.

Tuesday night Tinubu had promised to erase terorrism in Nigeria if elected.

He also promised to hit the ground running from day one.

He said this while delivering his remark at the ongoing APC convention.

The presidential aspirant begged delegates to vote for him, saying that he is competent to lead Nigeria.

Tinubu also said he would “fight terrorism and insecurity to the very end and erase terror from our land.”

“My experience as Executive Governor of Lagos makes me unique among other aspirants. I am competent to start from day one.”
