…Says he’s fit for National Security Adviser
Comrade Samuel Agogo, Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Group on Friday applauded the former Chief of Army Staff, General Dambazau for providing effective security at the just concluded Special Convention for Presidential Primary held at the Eagle’s Square in Abuja.
General Dambazau was appointed by the APC leadership alongside Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State to handle the security and compliance Committee.
Comrade Agogo who expressed satisfaction over the peaceful conduct of the National Convention, observed that the former Minister of Interior brought his wealth of experience to bare during the exercise which was overwhelmingly attended by Delegates across the 36 States of the Federation and FCT.
He said: “Aside the fact that the venue of the just concluded APC Special National Convention was wearing a new look, everybody testified to the fact that the security arrangement was superb.
“Without mincing words, the outcome of the Special National Convention showed that the Committee on Security and Compliance performed beyond the ordinary.
“In our democratic history, I wish to state categorically that the experience brought to bare by General Dambazau and his Team made the difference and a pointer to the fact that if someone like him is appointed as the National Security Adviser to the President, the issue of national security will take a new look.
“For someone who was the former Chief of Army Staff and Minister of Interior, no one is fit for the job more than him.
“We are convinced that among his peers across the country, General Dambazau is best qualified to hold such a sensitive office, especially at a time when the country is facing both interior and external security challenges,” Comrade Agogo noted.
