Three More Rivers Commissioners Resign

Fubara and Wike while still chummy

More commissioners have resigned from the Rivers State Executive Council on Friday with three more commissioners joining the fray.

They include the Commissioner for Housing, Dr. Gift Worlu, Commissioner for Environment, Austen Ben-Chioma and Commissioner for Transportation Dr. Jacobson Nbina.

Their resignations were contained in separate letters addressed to Governor Sim Fubara through the Secretary to the State Government.

Both Nbina and Ben-Chioma were also commissioners during the immediate past administration of Nyesom Wike.

The latest resignations makes increases the number of exiting commissioners to nine.

Speculations are rife that the commissioners like the members of the House of Assembly loyal to Wike, officially defect to the All Progressives Congress, though this has not been confirmed.
