The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rep. Abbas Tajudeen, has rejoiced with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 72nd birthday.
Speaker Abbas, in a congratulatory message to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, noted that President Tinubu has dedicated his life to the service of the country and humanity.
While describing President Tinubu as “a grandmaster of progressive politics,” the Speaker said the president has refined and redefined politics and governance in Nigeria.
He added that the history of Nigeria’s democracy would be incomplete without the name of President Tinubu occupying a vantage position.
Speaker Abbas, who noted that President Tinubu gets better with age, said Nigerians would soon rate his administration as one of the best the country has ever had.
“I wish His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a happy birthday. While it is his desire, as a passionate leader, that his birthday celebrations should be low-key, it is also an attestation to his selfless leadership style, which we are all emulating.
“Nevertheless, we can’t but express our admiration for a man who is willing and on the verge of transforming the socio-political and economic conditions of our country.
“It is our prayer that the Almighty Allah continues to strengthen him, grant him the grace and the wisdom to navigate our dear country out of the current turbulence,” Speaker Abbas said.
The Speaker urged Nigerians to pray for the president and his administration, as well as give him that maximum support so that his government’s Renewed Hope Agenda would achieve its objectives.
Sanwo-Olu Hails President as courageous, audacious, passionate leader.
Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 72nd birthday, describing him as a courageous, audacious, and passionate leader who is committed to the progress, growth, and development of Nigeria.
He said President Tinubu is worth celebrating for his contribution to national development, noting that the President, since he assumed office on May 29, 2023, has demonstrated unparalleled patriotism, integrity, honesty, and courage in the task of steering the ship of Nigeria in the right direction.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, said President Tinubu has provided honest and transparent leadership in Nigeria by taking bold decisions to address challenges militating against the prosperity of Nigeria and Nigerians.
Sanwo-Olu further described the President as a visionary and master strategist whose democratic credentials are scholarly materials for study in political economy.
He said: “On behalf of my family, the government, the people of Lagos State, members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), leaders, and members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, I congratulate our leader, President Bola Tinubu, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday.

He contributed to the enthronement of democracy and good governance, serving first as a Senator in the aborted third republic and later as a pro-democracy activist, working tirelessly as a member of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) to struggle for the de-annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.
“President Tinubu’s financial wizardry and economic intellect, which he put to good use as the Governor of Lagos State, have taken our dear state to a greater height. Today, Lagos is the pride of Nigeria, occupying an enviable position as the fifth largest economy in Africa.

On its part, the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday congratulated President Tinubu, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday.
The APC congratulated the President in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, sent to Frontline News Online on Friday.
The statement read in part: “On this day, we celebrate a true patriot, statesman, veteran democrat and visionary leader whose contributions to the enthronement of democracy and nation building is simply legendary. We proudly salute a preeminent Party man, an exemplary progressive, a tireless builder and founding architect of our great Party.
“The APC family stands united with President Tinubu as he continues his illustrious service to our dear country, leading with an ironclad determination to steer the ship of state to a safe and stable harbor of peace, unity, security, social cohesion, economic stability and sustainable prosperity”.
“As he celebrates another year, we join the first family and all well-wishers in prayer for more wisdom, excellent health and divine graces upon our dear President, now and in the many years to come.
