#EdoDecides: Davido Tackles Police For Directing Voters To Go Home After Voting

Known for his affiliation with the Peoples Democratic Party as the nephew of the Osun State governor, Nigerian award-winning artiste David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has called on the Independent Electoral Commission to ensure the Edo governorship election is free and fair,

Davido who shared his views on social platform X, on the ongoing election also rejected the advice by police for voters to go home after voting. “Loooooooool go where ???”, Davido asked in the tweet which also a had a clip of DIG Frank Mbah who is heading the operations of the police for the election.

During an interview with Channels Television on Saturday morning, Mba urged Edo residents to fulfill their civic duty by voting and then returning home immediately.

He also announced a restriction on vehicular movement in the state from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on election day.

Mba stated, “If you’re not accredited to participate in the election, you shouldn’t be on the streets. Cast your vote and return home; it’s your civic duty.”
