Controversial Pastor Tobi Adegboyega To Be Deported To Nigeria

Pastor Tobi Adegboyega

A Nigerian pastor Tobi Adegboyega will soon be deported from the United Kingdom after he lost his fight against deportation which he claimed would breach his human rights.

The controversial pastor saw his church shut down after investigations exposed a misuse of funds by his church.

As a result, an immigration tribunal found he should be deported back to his native Nigeria after investigations.

Netizens have taken to different social media platforms to share their opinions on the development.

SPAC Nation, the church Mr Adegboyega ran, shut down after the mismanagement of more than £1.87 million, The Telegraph reported

The controversial pastor who is close to Afrobeats and married to a British woman, claimed deportation would breach his right under the European Convention of Human Rights (ECHR) to a family life and failed to consider his community work with SPAC.

His legal team described him as a ‘charismatic’ community leader of a large, well-organised church who had ‘intervened in the lives of many hundreds of young people, predominantly from the black communities in London to lead them away from trouble’.
