Police Charge Suspended Ogun Monarch To Courtย 

The Ogun State Police Command, has commenced prosecution of the suspended Olorile of Orile Ifo, Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi, for assaulting a 73-year-old chief, Abraham Areola.

Ogunjobi was arraigned on a three charges bordering on conspiracy, assault and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.

The Nigeria Police Force spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday.

He said, โ€œThe Kabiyesi Abdulsemiu Ogunjobi, who assaulted one elderly man in a viral video, in Ifo Ogun State, has been charged to court today February 4, 2025, on a three-count of conspiracy, assault and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.

โ€œHe was granted bail while the case was adjourned to 06/03/2025.โ€

The FPRO assured that justice would be served on the matter.

โ€œThe police will continue to uphold the rule of law and the core values of the noble profession,โ€ Adejobi said.
