As Netizens react to security operatives frustrating the Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, from resuming her seat, following the judgement declaring her suspension as illegal, the lawmaker on Tuesday expressed gratitude for life and the opportunity to return to legislative duties after weeks of political tension and health concerns.
Speaking with Arise News, the senator said, “I am glad to be alive and to resume work today.”

security operatives clashed with Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who was suspended from Kogi Central, from gaining access to the legislative complex.
Akpoti-Uduaghan was accompanied to the National Assembly complex by by activist Aisha Yesufu, rights advocate Mama P, activist and content creator, Randy, and a crowd of supporters, but the lawmaker’s convoy was denied entry by security officials.
Yesufu, in a bid to intervene, confronted the officers stationed at the gate and challenged the order allegedly issued to block Natasha’s entry.
“National Assembly is meant to be for everyone. Why are you stopping us?
“We are not abiding doesn’t mean we are cowards,” she said.
The standoff quickly escalated as some supporters began chanting “Push!” while attempting to force their way in.
