Ramsey Noah hosts Africa Fashion and Cultural Week in Malabo

 

Nollywood star, Ramsey Noah will be hosting the highly prestigious, Africa Fashion and Cultural Week (AFCW) 2018 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

The grand opening of AFCW was held in Brussels July 19-21, while its 6th edition was held to rave reviews in Amsterdam from  August 22 to 24.

The 7th edition of the star-studded event holding between 2nd to 7th of October 2018 is in celebration of  Equatorial Guinea’s 50 years of independence.

African Fashion Ambassador and founder of Africa Fashion Museum, Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam and Africa Fashion and Cultural Week (AFCW), Ms Diana Tambe and her team of professionals have perfected plans for a world class production.

The AFCW is being hosted in collaboration with Equatorial Guinea’s  minister of Tourism, Culture and Handicraft Promotion; His Excellency Rufino Ndong Esono,  with Tambe promising that the event will  showcase African talent to the world.

The Equatorial Guinea government is sponsoring 24 designers from the Diaspora, 40 runway models, artists, painters and sculptors who would be presenting their artwork to the crème de la crème of society, including government officials, fashion professionals and the global press.

The show to be co-hosted by Miss Equatorial Guinea 2018, Silvia Adjomo Ndong, will also have the country’s First Lady and patron of the arts, Mrs. Constancia Mangue Nsue de Obiang in attendance.

With the show at the Central African country, AFCW will again serve as a platform for promoting youth employment using the creative industry.

“The concept of the show is to encourage handicraft, fashion designing, promote jobs and a new market for African Designers who otherwise would not have such opportunities”,  stated AFCW  Public Relations manager, Marie Louise.
