The senior pastor of help from above healing and deliverance ministry worldwide, Godwin Ube wants Christians to have the right attitude towards the services of God.
Pastor Ube gave the advice today during his Sunday sermon in Abuja.
Preaching on what he tagged ” Character of a man behind church growth” from the book of acts chapter 2 verse 14, Ube explained that what matter to God is the sincere connectivity and the right motives to his commandments.
Pastor Ube who explained that the Service to God is essentially a matter of the heart added that only when thoughts, intentions and motives are right, then service to God will be acceptable.
“There are times when you see people render Kingdom services or help to someone and you feel that person does what he or she is doing so perfectly, and you even tend to compare yourself, wishing you could be more like that person”
“You may even wonder why those people have not received visible rewards with all the energy, time and effort they put into service”
“I have come to realise that most of the time it is not in all the busyness, but the state of your mind or heart.
Service to God is essentially a matter of the heart. When your thoughts, intentions and motives are right, then only does your service become acceptable.
He stated that there are people that render lip or eye service, they tend to be very energetic around others, but when those watchful eyes are gone, they revert to their “true” selves.
Some have a habit of complaining and even tend to curse in their heart, they might be doing what is right but because their hearts are not right, it may not count for them as a quality service unto God.
Today, I want you to turn a new leaf, and re-examine your heart towards the service of God. However, as you seek to serve God in all areas of your life, make your service right in the sight of God by engaging a perfect heart, one void of complains, vain compliments, eye service, vain rewards, or fame.
Commit the Holy Spirit to help you achieve your desire for a perfect service and as you do, your rewards will not elude you in Jesus name.
“For you to render an acceptable service to God, you have to build a stable relationship with Him, you must be prayerful, you must be pure in heart, be strongly persuaded, you must have a supernatural power, you know the promises of God and exercise the authority in the word of God.” Ube stressed.
Pastor Ube therefore advised Christians make their services right in the sight of God by engaging a perfect heart.
