An irate Ghanaian fan has been arrested for assaulting Black Stars coach Chris Hughton following the 2-1 shock defeat to Cape Verde in Sunday’s AFCON 2023 Group B game.
The unidentified fan attacked Hughton at the team’s hotel as reported by ghanasoccernet was however swiftly apprehended by Ghanaian officials on the scene and later handed over to the police.
The Black Stars of Ghana will next face the Eyptian team in a must win match.
