The police have returned the stolen mace, Frontline News Online has learnt.
DIG operations of the Nigerian Police, Joshak Habila has handed it over to the Clerk of the National Assembly (CNA), Mohammed Sani Omolori.
The CNA and the Sergeant at Arms have taken the mace into the chambers.
The mace was snatched from the Senate chambers during plenary on Wednesday by suspected thugs.
It was recovered by the police at a bridge close to the Abuja City Gate.
