Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, has announced plans to recall members from their annual vacation over recent attacks against foreigner, Nigerians inclusive, by South Africans.
Gbajabiamila who is in Tanzania for the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association meeting made the announcement via his Twitter handle.
The Speaker also revealed that he had cut his trip to Tanzania short to return home in order reconvene the House to discuss the recent attacks for which many member of public have demanded a strong response from the Nigerian government.

Recall that Gbajabiamila as Leader of the House, led a team from the Green Chamber on a diplomatic shuttle to their parliamentary colleagues and other leaders such as former President Thabo Mbeki in South Africa in February 2017.
But it seems earlier diplomatic interventions between both countries has failed to stop attacks against Nigerians.
Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama on Tuesday summonsed the South African High Commissioner.
