CAF Delists Nigeria Vs Libya AFCON Qualifier Amid Controversy

On Monday, the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF)referred what it described as the disturbing mistreatment of the Nigerian contingent to Libya for the second leg of the AFCON qualifier between the Super Eagles and the Libyan team.

However, the referral has been followed by the delisting of the match by the continental body.

The Group D match was earlier scheduled for Libya by 8 pm after the first leg took place in Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Friday.

The African football body further updated games that would be played on Tuesday without including the Libya versus Nigeria game on its X handle.

The Super Eagles defeated the Mediterranean Knights by a lone goal in the dying minute of the game.
