Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson met with his Kaduna State counterpart, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai in Kaduna, on Sunday.
According to the Special Adviser to the governor on Media, Mr. Fidelis Soriwei, the visit by Dickson is part of his consultations with northern governors on restructuring.
Recall that the Kaduna State governor chaired the ruling All Progressives Congress Committee on restructuring.
The committee has since submitted its report.
“The governor has commenced consultations with some of his northern counterparts on the critical issue of restructuring and true federalism.
The governor has already commenced talks with the Governor òf Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, who was Chairman of the APC the Committee on restructuring which made far-reaching recommendations on critical issues affecting the unity of the country.
“The main recommendations centred on restructuring, true federalism, the issue of state ownership of onshore oil wells among others”, Soriwei stated.
