Ekiti Governorship: Akwa-Ibom PDP backs Eleka for victory

The Akwa Ibom State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Paul Ekpo has expressed unflinching solidarity for the Governor Ayodele Fayose  and people of Ekiti State.

In a solidarity parley with the state exco and members of the party, the state chairman condemned in strong terms the impunity and the alleged molestation of Governor Fayose by security forces.

The state party chairman who expressed confidence that the candidate of the PDP,  Prof. Olushola Eleka, will win the election on Saturday, further urged the Ekiti PDP and the entire residents of Ekiti to defy any attempt aimed at preventing them from exercising their right of franchise in the forthcoming Ekiti elections.

“Ekiti people don’t allow impunity to triumph over your collective resolve to allow democracy to have its full course in the forthcoming elections, we stand with you at this trying times.

” We encourage you to stand strong, firm and unshaken”, Ekpo said .

“We stand with our brother, Governor Ayo Fayose. Ekiti people are ready to change the change. No form of impunity will rise against the wish of the people. The will of the people is, of course, the will of God”, he added.

Speaking also, Senator Anietie Okon admonished the Ekiti people to keep faith with the PDP. He stressed that Ekiti people should remain undaunted like the proverbial Christian soldier marching to war.

The local government chairman of Ikono LGA, Mr. Itoro Columba also reiterated the commitment of the PDP grass rooters’ faith in the party.
