Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayase has reportedly been rushed to hospital after collapsing when a tear gas canister fired at the Government House, reportedly hit him.
According to reports, currently trending on the social media showing the governor sprawling on the ground while surrounded by some people apparently trying to resuscitate him, the governor is currently receiving treatment at the Government House Clinic, in Ado Ekit, the state capital.
The post, made by one Ochuwa Lexie Idode, said: “Gov Fayose, a few minutes ago escaped plot to assassinate him by Fayemi and his APC.
“He is currently receiving treatment at govt house clinic after he was hit by teargas canister fired by the policemen.
“The armed policemen still laying siege at the Govt House.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in an alarming message, alleged inhumane treatment of Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, in the hands of security operatives, alleging that he was ‘teargassed’ and attacked.
The party took to its official Twitter account (@OfficialPDPNig) to raise the alarm on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.
The party alleged that the governor was pulled on the floor after security operatives, allegedly acting on the orders of President Muhammadu Buhari , took over his office at the Ekiti State Government House in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
