It has been celebrations and back slapping galore at FunmiAyinke Humanity Foundation since the new broke a few days ago that the Founder of the organisation, Engineer Funmilayo Ayinke Waheed-Adekojo has won three different awards within a spate of one Month.
First was the nomination for the City People Awards as the Humanitarian of the Year, which is slated to be presented at the end of this month. Then came the West African Students Union’s PAN African Distinguished Leadership Hall of Fame Award for 2020. Another is a Honorary Doctorate Degree from a reputable American University.

All these are coming at a time when the FHF is upping its performance in ensuring that many more Nigerians are empowered and lifted out of poverty.

One after the other, the organisations claimed that Engineer Funmilayo Waheed Adekojo was nominated for her unparalleled humanitarian disposition even in the face of hard times which has made many who want to help close shop. She is being singled out for living up to her dictum that money is useless unless it is used to lift people who are in need up. Her yeoman help to students and widows alike which had earlier won accolades from NANS and other stakeholders in youth development, the organisations claimed, in their Letters of Award are unparalleled.And it is because of this that they are have decided to honour her.

It would be recalled that the FHF Founder has endeared herself to youths and widows alike by reaching out through empowerment programmes to Tue needy and taking care of school fees for many students. Thousand of Nigerians have benefited and are still benefiting from these humanitarian activities.

Engr Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo, born in Ondo State, attended Ladoke Akintola University and has a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers as well as a member of many other professional bodies including COREN. She was formerly the Head of Mechanical Engineering Unit, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. She is the CEO of FunmiAyinke Nigeria limited a global project management, Consultancy, Construction as well as Facility management conglomerate.
