Controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has announced his exit from Nigeria.
Bobrisky who was hauled off a KLM flight last week by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over allegations of a N15 million bribe given to the anti-graft agency’s staff, seems to have left his problems behind in Nigeria.
Although he kept his destination to himself, the controversial social media personality in a series of videos shared on his Instagram story on Monday morning, announced that he was travelling on a first-class ticket.
“See you soon, Nigeria. This girl bought a first-class ticket three times; that’s over 30 million. Raise the bar for this girl,” he shared with his followers.
Bobrisky was released after he was grilled by the officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over night on Friday.
A source in the anti-graft commission told Punch on Friday that operatives immediately commenced interrogation upon Bobrisky’s arrival.
“He was interrogated for hours upon his arrival here. He is still with us as I speak (8:30pm),” the source in the commission added.
Recall that in a viral audio posted by social media commentator, Martins Otse better known as VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky alleged that he bribed some Economic and Financial Crimes Commission officials with N15 million to drop the money laundering charge against him.
In the purported recording, the crossdresser also claimed that his “godfather,” alongside the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa, ensured he served the six-month sentence in a private apartment and not in prison.
Bobrisky who was apprehended at the Seme border was again hauled off a KLM flight headed to the UK by EFCC officials and brought to Abuja for interrogation.
On the night of his arrest, Bobrisky raised alarm that he was mishandled by the EFCC, pleading for the public to come to his rescue. He also shared pictures showing his injured body.
