Former Big Brother Naija Housemate from Season 3, Rico Swavey, also known as Patrick Fakoya has died following a car accident.
News of the musician being involved in an accident in Lagos broke on the internet with many celebrities praying for his survival. But by Thursday news filtered in that the reality star succumbed to accident wounds.
Reactions have poured in over Swavey’s death. A housemate from his season, Tobi Bakare took to his Instagram handle posted a picture adding a caption, “This is how I will remember us brother. Forever ” RIP”.
Alexandra Amuchechukwu Asogwa popularly known as Alex Unusual also took to her Twitter handle to express her grief. “This was not what we agreed Rico, Rest in peace”, she posted.
Another Ex-BBNaija housemate Ifu Ennada expressed her anger over Swavey’s passing by questioning why the good people die young and the wicked live long.
She said she could not understand why Rico d#ed despite people’s prayers .
On her part Nengi Hampson of the BBN Lock Down Season said she will miss Swavey for being a brother and for always standing up in her defence,
A fan of the show Iphie Soibi said in a Facebook comment: “I feel so sad. Last night on Twitter..we prayed. Today he is gone. Just like that. I loved seeing his tweets on Twitter… I’ll miss him to be honest”.
