Former governor, Abiola Ajimobi’s eldest daughter, Abisola Kola Daisi, has died at the age of 42.
According to close friends, she died in the early hours of Thursday, March 27 after a battle with cancer. She was 42 years old.
Bisola was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi, and they are blessed with three children.
Until her passing, she was a special adviser to Atiku Bagudu, Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Planning. She ran some of her family’s businesses and owned luxury store, Florence H Boutique.
The Nigerian high society has been reacting to the news with the former Senate Majority Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin who is a cousin to the late Oyo State governor, taking to Facebook to mourn Bisola’s on Thursday.
He wrote: “I am deeply saddened to receive the news of the passing of Mrs. Bisola Kola-Daisi (Nee Ajimobi), the beloved daughter of my cousin, the late Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi, and former First Lady of Oyo State, Her Excellency (Dr.) Florence Ajimobi. Bisola’s untimely death has left an unfillable void in our hearts, and I can only imagine the pain of a parent burying their child.
“As someone who had the privilege of knowing Bisola as a dear family member – she was like a daughter to me – her passing has left me with a profound sense of personal loss”.
