Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Mohammed Adamu, has ordered an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault on a female Nigerian by Sen. Elisha Abbo.
A statement by DCP Frank Mba, the Force Public Relations Officer, on Wednesday in Abuja said the IGP had directed the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Commissioner of Police, to provide a “personal and round-the-clock supervision” of the investigation.
Mba said that the FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, had established contact with the victim of the assault and commenced an investigation in earnest into the case.
