Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Fatai Akinbade, has described himself as not being inordinately ambitious and self-driven and therefore, should be given a chance to govern the people of Osun State.
He said this on Sunday, during the Osun State Governorship Debate, organised by Channels Television when asked why the people of Osun State should vote for him.
The governorship candidate said, โI am a civil engineer by profession and politician by calling. I served three Military administrators as Commissioner for Works, between 1994 and 1998.
โI also served as the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Osun State, between 2001 and 2003 when Prince Olagunsoyelola emerged as the governor of this state.
โI served as the Secretary to the Government of that government. With all these experiences, you will agree with me that I am well equipped and prepared. I am passionate and service-driven.
โIโm not inordinately ambitious and that is why I am offering myself for the good services of Osun State,โ he said.
