For fans still wondering how controversial musician, Habeeb Okiki, aka Portable landed sexy actress, Akinyanju Omobolarinde, better known as Ashabi Simple, she has declared that she is dating the singer who was recently hosted in the UK by famous rapper Skepta, for love and not for money.
Ashabi Simple who is the singer’s fiancée said in an interview that she would have become tired of the relationship after some time, if she wasn’t really into Portable who is openly polygamist.
She also described the ‘Zazuu’ singer as her mentor, who was always protective of her.
She said, “If I am dating him because of his money, I would be tired by now. No one forces Portable to do anything, and I do not have a problem with that, because I do a lot for myself. I have always been like that. Before I started my clothing business, I worked as a bus conductor, bartender, and I sold pieces of jewelry, before I started attending filmmaking class and working in the film industry as a manager. And, that was where I started making money.”
Ashabi Simple in an earlier interview with Face TV said she had to overlook negative comments to date Portable.
“I faced a lot of challenges but I thank God. Right from the time I started dating Portable, I was scared that people would mock and abuse me. I thought about it and asked myself if people would console me when I am not happy.
“I decided that this is my happiness and since I wasn’t looking for approval, I went for it. I’m happy because my man makes me happy because if he is not there for me, today won’t be possible,” she said.
