Former US President Donald Trump has said he is “supposed to be dead” days after surviving an assassination attempt.
Reacting further on his near death experience the Republican Party presidential hopeful vowed to “bring the country together” at the Republican convention this week – and will give a “whole different speech” to the “humdinger” he had planned.
On Sunday night, President Joe Biden spoke to the nation calling for the “temperature of politics” to be lowered.
The man who tried to kill Trump – Thomas Crooks, 20 – was shot and killed by the Secret Service but the Secret Service is yet to unravel the motive of the gunman.
However Crooks classmates described him as normal boy” who coincidentally wasn’t admitted to the school’s rifle team. BBC reports that a law enforcement officer saw the shooter but retreated down a ladder when he aimed his rifle at the officer
