Worried relatives of Onyinye Enekwe, a graduate of the Nnamdi Azikwe University, have raised an alarm that she is one of those trapped in the 21-storey building which collapsed in Gerrard Road, Ikoyi.
According to them she left for Ikoyi where she worked as second personal assistant to Femi Osibona, owner of Fourscore Homes, but nothing has been heard from her since the building collapsed.
Chinedu Enekwe, her cousin, said she started work at Fourscore Homes just the week before.
“She left her elder sister’s house around 6am for work on that day,” TheCable reports him as saying.
Chinedu added that Onyinye had taken a picture of herself at the site, which she sent to her older sister just as she arrived at work on Monday morning.
He said the family has received “no information” from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) or other rescue workers concerning her whereabouts.Advertisement
Chinedu, however, said the family members are praying for her safe return.
“We’re hopeful. We believe she will be found. We are in prayers for her to be found,” TheCable quotes him as saying.
