Just In:  EFCC Arrests Socialite, E-Money For Naira Abuse

The abuse of the Naira is becoming an albatross for Nigeria’s high rollers as one of them, Emeka Okonkwo Daniel (a.k.a. E-Money), has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly abusing the Naira and forex notes.

Frontline News Online gathered that he was arrested on Monday night at his residence in the Omole, Ikeja, area of Lagos.

Frontline News Online also learnt that said E-Money, who is the younger brother of popular musician, Kcee Limpopo was arrested for allegedly spraying United States dollars, an act said to be in violation of the Foreign Exchange Act.

According to sources, E-Money has been flown to Abuja for further questioning.

Recent videos from A-List parties have shown top celebrities avoiding the spraying of the Naira in fear of the EFCC.

Many would recall that controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye was sentenced to six months in prison for the abuse of the Naira.
