The PDP Governors Forum led by Senator Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi state, on Tuesday sought a court order to stop the party and the Independent National Electoral Commission from annulling Thursday’s planned National Executive Council meeting.
They have approached a Federal High Court in Gusau under Justice Salim Ibrahim to facilitate the order.
Court documents sighted by this medium indicates that the request was made at 8.30am on 22nd October 2024 (today) and filed by one Imam Auwal seeking a special order to ensure the NEC meeting holds to pave way for the PDP Governors forum group to have their way in the ongoing battled for the control of the party.
The lawsuit, filed by Auwal at a Zamfara High Court in Gusau Judicial Division, appealed for an earlier injunction from Abuja Federal High Court Abuja barring the PDP from removing its acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum to be set aside.
