Lookman Bags Brace As Super Eagles Advance To Quarter Finals

The Super Eagles maintained their winning streak over Cameroun’s Indomitable Lions with a 2-0 victory in the round of 16 match at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Ademola Lookman scored twice first, nine minutes before the break.

Victor Osimhen disposed an opposing defender and set up the Atalanta defender, who put the ball past Fabrice Ondoa.

Lookman scored the second on the dot of 90 minutes to send the Super Eagles into the quarter-final. He was named the man of the match.

The Super Eagles will play Angola

With the victory, Jose Peseiro’s men will now face Angola in the quarter-finals billed for Friday, 2nd February, 2024.
