
The Executive Secretary of the National Commission For Persons with Disabilities, Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan, and his management team visited Sun-Tech Prosthetics and Orthotics LTD yesterday in Abuja.
The commission’s visit aimed to familiarise and appreciate the impactful, incredible work done by the Abuja based company as as a prosthetist and orthotist manufacturer.

During the visit, commission members toured Suntech facility, observing the intricate process of designing, manufacturing, and fitting prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices. They interacted with Suntech’s skilled technicians who showcased their expertise in creating customized solutions tailored to individual needs.
The Executive Secretary had an opportunity to also interact with patients during his visit, which was very insightful and beautiful. According to Chief Ayuba Gufwan, “We are impressed by the level of innovation and dedication demonstrated by Sun-Tech PO. Their commitment to providing high-quality, accessible care aligns perfectly with our mission to empower individuals with disabilities. And we can work towards a more inclusive society where individuals with disabilities have equal opportunities to thrive.”
Prince Sunny Ukachukwu, the CEO of Sun-Tech Prosthetics team expressed his gratitude for the commission’s visit and highlighted our ongoing efforts to advance the field of prosthetics and orthotics.
He also emphasized the importance of collaboration with healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the disability community to ensure that individuals with disabilities have access to the latest technologies and support services.He further, stated that he was honoured to host the Commission and that the goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live their lives to the fullest.
