Ndume Tackles Daniel Bwala, Asks New Presidential Spokesman To Apologise To VP Shettima

The Senator representing Borno South, Ali Ndume, has called on Daniel Bwala to apologise to Vice President Kashim Shettima.

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday appointed Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign as his Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications (State House).

Bwala’s appointment was met with controversy as the popular lawyer defected from the APC over the party’s choice of a Muslim-Muslim ticket. He later worked with the presidential candidate of the PDP Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as a spokesman for his campaign.

In his reaction Ndume, advised Daniel Bwala to seek forgiveness from Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Ndume, in a statement on Saturday, responding to Bwala’s appointment, urged him to work closely with Shettima who is also from the Borno State.

“Work with him (the Vice president) closely too as your second principal, to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President.”

“You should also learn from Sunday Dare and Bayo Onanuga who are long and loyal associates of Tinubu who always defend the policies of Mr President without being abusive and offensive”, the statement read.

Ndume further advised, “You should also learn from the likes of Hadiza Bala-Usman and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, who defend and market Tinubu’s policies backed by facts and figures.

“Finally, you should also link up with our people at the grassroots because charity begins from home.

“Finally I wish you success in your new assignment.”

Ndume further hailed the President for appointing Bwala, according to him, Tinubu has demonstrated that he is a leader with a large heart through Bwala’s appointment.
