A legal practitioner with diverse interest in leadership training and human development, Barr. Chizoba Nnagbuoh, has been appointed the executive director of Pro-Value Humanity Foundation, which mission is to recreate humanity by advocating the creation of a society where the human person is at the center of development.
The foundation also seeks to transform society by reorienting values for authentic human development.
Announcing the appointment in Abuja, Tuesday, founder of the Foundation, Obiora OOkonkwo Ph.D said the choice of Barr. Nnagbuoh was because of his varied experience in organizational development and management.
He said that Nnagbuoh, who recently was on a training tour of the United states of America (USA), where he took additional courses on leadership and human resource development, was the most appropriate candidate to lead the newly organisation and nurture it to achieve the objectives for which it was set up.
According to him, Pro-Value Humanity Foundation will among other things, work very hard to elevate the human person and make him center of developmental discourse.
“Pro-Value Humanity Foundation was set up to work for the development of the human person and return the person to those cherished values that help societies to grow.
“We know how much we have derailed as a people. But that decline ought to be arrested and the human person redirected on the path of right. That is why we are here with Pro-Value Humanity Foundation. And that also is why Barr. Nnagbuoh, who we find to be the most appropriate candidate to execute this mandate, was selected by the Board to lead the charge”, he said.
Dr. Okonkwo stated that Barr. Nnagbuoh has deep insights on human development issues had undergone trainings in negotiations for peace operations, peacebuilding and conflict transformation, disaster management, legislative lobbying, mediation and conciliation, volunteer recruitment and management, and campaign technology.
Barr. Nnagbuoh attended several local and international trainings and is an alumnus of several renowned institutions including The Leadership Institute, Arlington, Virginia, USA; Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center, Teshie, Ghana; West Africa Peacebuilding Institute, Accra, Ghana; Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators; and Lux Terra Leadership Foundation.
He was also a delegate to the World Meeting of Families, Philadelphia, U.S.A. 2015; International Congress on the 50th Anniversary of the Promulgation of the Conciliar Decree Ad Gentes, Vatican, Rome, 2015; Pontifical Council for the Family’s International Conference of Jurists (to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Charter of the Rights of the Family), Vatican, Rome, 2013; Symposium of the Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar (SECAM) Workshop on Faith and Culture and Development (as Representative of the African Laity), Dar-e-Salam, Tanzania, 2012. In 2010, he was an Observer at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW), United Nations Building, New York, USA.
An avid promoter of authentic human development, Barr. Nnagbuoh has many years of public engagement experience with several humanitarian organizations with focus on youth development, empowerment of women, peace building and conflict transformation, as well as the promotion and defence of family and human life at the community, state, national and international levels.
