History was made as Dr. Ngong Cyprian becomes the first Nigerian to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Nigeria.
Dr. Cyprian has been a frontline worker at the COVID-19 isolation centre at the National Hospital, Abuja since March 2020.
He had lost his father to COVID-19.
Speaking after he got vaccinated, he said that “if only my dad had gotten the vaccine, but we lost him” adding that “the fight against COVID is still on and we will win”
