The Nigerian Army has declared Eight persons wanted in connection with the killing of 17 soldiers in the Okuama community in Delta state.
The Nigerian Army shared the names and pictures of those declared wanted on its official X account on Thursday.
The persons declared wanted include seven men and one woman.

They are Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono, Prof Ekpekpo Arthur, Andaowei Dennis Bakriki, Igoli Ebi (female), Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki, Clement Ikolo Oghenerukevwe and Reuben Baru.
Recall that the Nigerian Army announced the killing of its officers who were on a peacekeeping mission to two warring communities in Delta State.
Those who lost their lives include a Lieutenant Colonel, two Majors, one Captain and 12 soldiers.
The Director, Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, confirmed the incident, yesterday.
The soldiers were on a rescue mission to Okuama community to free a hostage, one Mr. Anthony Aboh, allegedly abducted over the lingering land dispute between Okuama and Okoloba communities when they were ambushed and killed.
Gusau said: “The troops of 181 Amphibious Batallion, Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, while on a peace mission to Okuoma community in Bomadi LGA of Delta State, were surrounded by some community youths and killed on Thursday, 14 March 2024.
“The unfortunate incident occurred when the troops responded to a distress call after the communal crisis between the Okuama and Okoloba communities both in Delta State.
“The reinforcement team led by the Commanding Officer was also attacked, leading to the death of the Commanding Officer, two Majors, one Captain and 12 Soldiers.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu had insisted that the killers of 17 officers and men of the Nigerian Army must be arrested. This is even as families demanded justice during the burial of the slain military personnel at the National Cemetery in Abuja on Wednesday.
Tinubu who attended the burial of the slain soldiers declared that leaders in Delta State must fish out killers of the soldiers who were ambushed while on a peace mission in the Okuama community in Delta State.
The President also vowed that the killers would not go unpunished, even as he conferred posthumous national honours on the slain officers.
The late soldiers were honoured in three categories, including Member of the Order of Niger, Federal Republic Medal I, and Federal Republic Medal II.
