Davido, Nigeria music star, and nephew of the Osun State governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke, has revealed that he risked it all by supporting his uncle during the just concluded Osun Governorship election.
The award winning singer said this in reaction to the presentation of the Certificate of Return to the senior Adeleke by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The singer had earlier raised concerns about the seeming delay in the presentation of the certificate to his uncle.
Reacting to the latest development, David tweeted, “It’s been a long battle fought!! We put our Family name on the line, I put my career on the line! But we had faith!! This was God testing us if we really believed in him!! I feel victorious! Congrats! Your excellency #AAdeleke_01 ! As for me it’s back to the studio!”
