The Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Senator Adelere Oriolowo on Sunday said some hired assassins wanted to kill him.
The Senator said unknown gunmen attacked his entourage at Ikire, Irewole local government area of the state.
In a post one his Facebook page, Senator Oriolowo wrote: “Just escaped an assassination attempt on my life and that of my entourage. To God be the glory, we are safe and alive.

At the of filing these reports, the Senator could not be reached on the phone for details of the incident.
Also, the Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola could not be reached for reaction on the development.
