Oyo State governor, Mr Seyi Makinde has ordered the immediate dissolution of the authorities of all 33 local government areas and 35 local council development areas in the state.
Consequently, all local government Chairmen have been asked to hand over to their respective Heads of Local Government Administration or most senior directors.
This directive was conveyed in a statement credited to Chief of staff to the state governor, Bisi Ilaka and broadcast on the state broadcasting corporation (BCOS).
Other directives include the dissolution of all boards of parastatals and corporations and placement of indefinite embargo on all local and state government accounts.
