Jimmy Odukoya, the son of Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya, has been appointed to take over from his father as the senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church.
The Nollywood actor was named the senior pastor on Sunday, during the church service.
During the service, a pastor, Rotimi Okpaise, disclosed that the late Taiwo Odukoya had shared his succession plan with the board of trustees before he died.
Okpaise announced that Jimmy was chosen as the senior pastor and chairperson of the board by unanimous decision from the BoT.
“The board has chosen Saturday, September 30, 2023, as the date of Jimmy’s installation,” he said.
On August 7, the church’s founder, Odukoya, passed away in the United States at the age of 67.
Less than two years earlier, he had experienced the loss of his wife, Nomthi, a South African, on November 9, 2021, following a two-year battle with cancer.
