Some supporters of Mudashiru Obasa, impeached speaker of the Lagos state house of assembly, stormed the speakers’ lodge at Joel Ogunnaike street, Ikeja GRA, on Saturday morning.
The ex-speaker’s supporters proudly done shirts and caps with Obasa’s pictyre emblazoned on them, while others held aloft placards, with one reading ‘Obasa the undisputable’.
The former speaker returned the love and support smiling and waving at the supporters.
Obasa was removed from his position on January 13 while out of the country, over allegations bordering on gross misconduct and abuse of office.
He was immediately replaced by Mojisola Meranda, who was Obasa’s deputy.
