The Lagos State Police Command had said the autopsy conducted on the remains of Ifeanyi, singer Davido’s son, confirmed that the three-year-old died as a result of drowning.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a chat with Channels Television on Saturday, November 5.
Recall that Ifeanyi d#ed inside the family’s pool in Banana Island, on Monday, October 31.
Hundeyin further confirmed that the nanny and cook, who were arrested in connection to the incident are still in police custody answering questions.
“The two suspects are still with us. Autopsy has been concluded. The autopsy confirmed that he (Ifeanyi) d#ed by drowning,” he said.
On whether the two principal suspects will be charged in court, the police spokesman said, “I don’t want to preempt that. Investigation is still ongoing.”
