Just as he displayed his entertaining stunts watching him on social media platforms, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanamere aka Odumeje is not a different person in real life.

The doctrine of his Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministry seems to be different from every others in Christiandom. The church Sunday service starts by 12noon preceded by a short prayer after which a pastor who later became my friend came to take down names of those who wanted to see the prophet.

The process is not free, for a newer, you have to part with N4000 before you could see Odumeje and those who already have the membership cards need not buy again because the duration is a year.

Everything about the church is all about entertainment, members are all good dancers. Energetic Odumeje arrived the church auditorium some minutes after 12noon, the whole congregation rose to acknowledge his presence and immediately, the Indaboski Pahoze swooped into action on those who came with one ailment or the other.

The first woman that came out have kidney related disease, with swollen legs, Odumeje pulled her from her seat, hit her on the shoulders and asked her to start walking, and to the amazement of the whole congregation, she stepped and stepped until the steppings became steady…the shout of Emmanuel rented the air.

Another guy was also suffering from unidentified terminal disease, Odumeje started caressing his chest down to his belly and suddenly hit his belly, carried him on his shoulder and turned like a whirl wind, that’s Indabosky way of performing miracles.

Meanwhile, nobody was allowed to take pictures apart from the assigned workers of the church. The third miracle frightened me, the young lady also came for miracle and to my surprised, Odumeje grabbed her by the neck and pulled her to the floor and held the neck as if he wanted to strangle her till the lady coughed.

The miracle session continued amidst good music coming from Nigeria’s Most Entertaining Prophet. He would have be a good singer if he had chosen singing as career. At a point, I have to stand up and danced to the rhythm of his music.

No formal preaching expect the time he boasted about the video of his visit to Indonesia where he was given a Presidential treatment abroad. Everything about the church is different and looked a bit strange but fun filled. One thing I observed is the prophet’s concern about his image and not of the church. Media relation is absolutely poor, the workers give no credence to journalists, a church as big as that has no PRO, no Media Representative… Very bad!

The evening we got there the workers we met were responding to us with obvious fear on their faces. No one wanted to release any number each time we asked who we could talk to.

The service ended some minutes to 7pm..I never experienced such before, even Celestial wey dey tay no dey pass 4pm unless if there is any meeting after service. The worker we later liased with insisted we must pay the compulsory #4000 membership card before we could see Odumeje. I stood my ground and made him realized I’m not a member and will never be, my mission there is different from those seeking miracles. We put a call to Pastor Izuchukwu, Odumeje’s younger brother, he said he’s on his way.

By the time he came and both of them spoke in Ibo language, he also insisted that the #4000 is compulsory, even with the intervention of Richard Arthur an indigene of the state and a colleague I took along to ease language barrier, they remained adamant. We went back to our seats waiting for the next action.

Counseling started immediately after the service with over 100 members and guests waiting to see the Prophet. He attended to everyone one by one, amid that, we were called upon, this same pastor still came and asked for the membership card money…you dey laugh?

It was after 9pm and to avoid any delay we paid #2000 and for the first time in my life, I paid to present an award to somebody. Na so Odumeje boys collected ‘Owo Ile’ from me oo.

As early as 5am on Monday, 31st, we woke from our hotel room at Top Ranks Hotel and checked out to avoid the every Monday ‘No Movement Syndrome’ of the Biafra agitators. When it seemed no vehicle was coming, we decided to kukuma make it an early morning exercise… We walked the First Niger Bridge that links Anambra and Delta State…we crossed the border of two states walking….I’m still the SAINT even with my STAIN!!!
