President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived the Eagle Square Abuja venue for the national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The President according to APC sources was scheduled to arrive the convention by 1pm. But his convoy drove into the venue at about 3.06pm.
Buhari who received a rousing welcome from delegates joined Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, Speaker Yakubu Dogara and outgoing national chairman of the APC, Mr. John Oyegun and chairman of the convention planing committee, Gov. Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State.

Unlike most of his colleagues, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State sauntered into the venue after the President’s had taken his seat.
He was welcomed with a mixture jeers and cheers. Frontline News Online, noticed that the cheers came from the group that accompanied the governor. And the booing came from already seated delegates.
The boos that came from the Imo Stand where the Iml deputy governor, Mr. Eze Madumere, Senator Hope Uzodinma and Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu sat, didn’t stop.
This is as Governor Okorocha and his team had a tough time getting seats as delegates who came with him had to force their way into the state’s stand.
The presence of DSS personnel didn’t stop the scuffle at the Imo State stand, that lasted for about twenty minutes.

While Governor Okorocha and his Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu finally found seats at the Imo Stand, Delta State delegates were involved in fisticuffs. Persons believed to be thugs could be seen using still and legs of plastic tables and chairs to beat up delegate.
The pandemonium at the Delta State took place while Preident Buhari gave his address.
After prolonged confusion among delegates and an intervention from policemen who revovered sticks used by the thug , Govenor Yahaya Bello left his state delegates to appeal to party men and women from Delta.
An angry Delta delegate accused a senator of stealing convention materials meant for the state.
“He stole the mace, now he has stolen materials for our state”, the agrieved delegate told Frontline News Online.
