President Bola Tinubu on Monday suspended Halima Shehu, the National Coordinator and CEO of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), over allegations of financial mismanagement.
Her suspension comes just three months after her confirmation for the position by the Senate
The National N-POWER Programme Manager, Dr. Akindele Egbuwalo, has been appointed in an acting capacity to head the agency while investigation into allegations of fraud is conducted.
Shehu worked as the National Coordinator of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme.
She also worked at the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, from 2017 to 2022.
