.………says Ijesha land has lost an illustrious son
The  Member representing Obokun/ Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, Rep. Busayo Wole Oke on Wednesday described the death of reggae  maestro, Majekodunmi Ifasheke  popularity known as  Majek Fashek  as sad and painful, saying that the Ijesha land and Nigeria has lost an illustrious son.
Oke said in a statement made available to Frontline News  on Wednesday said that the deceased would be missed by all Yorubas, especially those from Ijesha land.

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, lawmaker said the late Majekodunmi  who died at the age of 56, gave his best in terms of representing the Ijesha/yorubas using  reggea music across the globe.
The statement read in part: “On this day, I join millions of lover of his rege music to mourn a very distinguished man, who made Nigeria music industry proud
”Though he is no more today, we find solace in the fact that he lived a life worthy of emulation may God grant the good people of Osun State and the family the fortitude to bear the loss and well to grant him Peaceful Rest”.
He however urged the Osun State government to immortalise the late Nigerian music ambassador to encourage youths selling the Yoruba and Nigerian culture through music and other art forms.
