… Describes Sam as a fallen hero and the best President Nigeria never had in 2015
The Honourable Member representing Ado/Ogbadigbo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency, Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo, has commiserated with the immediate family and staff of Leadership Newspaper Group over the passing away of its Chairman and publisher, Mr. Sam Nda Isaiah.
Dr. Ottah Agbo in a statement by his Media Adviser, Mr. Andrew Agbese, described Nda Isaiah as a fearless columnist who spoke truth to power and used his medium to hold government at all levels accountable to the people!
The Lawmaker said Nda Isaiah was one of those instrumental to his journalistic rise, as he was one of those after, Mr. Osa Director of the INSIDER Magazine, Mr. Bayo Onanuga of TheNews Magazine and the Spokesman to President Muhammedu Buhari, Mr. Femi Adesina, to believe in his ability and offered him a chance to prove his mettle as Group Politics Editor.
Dr. Ottah Agbo said the encouragement he received while working as Politics Editor of Leadership has helped to make him to weather the storms of politics.
He said, “Uncle Sam was a patriot, a gentleman, a fallen hero and workaholic of inestimable value. He founded the Leadership Group, grew it to be one of the strongest media organisations in Nigeria and used it to speak truth to power by holding government at all levels accountable to the people. He was a big time player, a man of big ideas, a great dreamer and visionary who believed everything was achievable with hard work and God’s blessing! Everything he ventured into turned out successful except his political foray…But for me, he was the best President Nigeria never had in 2015…
“My experience in Leadership was enchanting and memorable! My experience in the hands of the Big Uncle Sam partly prepared me to pass through the fire of life and navigate the murky waters of politics without being drowned for which I am eternally grateful. His loss is not just a disaster to the Pen Profession but a personal loss to me and family! On behalf of my family and the long suffering people of Ado/Ogbadibo/ Okpokwu Federal Constituency, I commiserate with the Nda-Isaiah family and the Leadership Group of Newspapers for this clear irredeemable loss!”
Dr. Ottah Agbo prayed God to grant the Nda Isaiah family, staff of the Leadership Group and his other business and political associates the fortitude to bear the what he calls a great and irredeemable loss!
